Photo and description

The Temple of All Religions, or the Ecumenical Temple, is located in the village of Old Arakchino in Kazan. The village is located in a picturesque place - on the banks of the wide Volga River. The unusual structure fits perfectly into the landscape of the area. Its bright outdoor decor attracts attention and adorns the Volga coast. The architectural ensemble of the Ecumenical Temple is equally well visible from ships sailing along the Volga and from the windows of trains passing by.

The construction of the temple began in 1994 by a sculptor, architect, public figure and healer - Khanov. He visited Tibet, visited India, studied the art of Eastern countries, got acquainted with Buddhism, mastered yoga, got acquainted with Chinese and Tibetan medicine. Khanov discovered the gift in himself and began to practice healing.

The author and owner of the structure conceived it as a place where people of different religions can pray side by side. The temple is a symbol and museum of world religions, a place of spiritual unity in people. Khanov himself calls it the Ecumenical Temple.

No services are held in the temple. Rather, it is an architectural symbol of various religions, civilizations and cultures. The architectural ensemble combines a Muslim mosque, an Orthodox church, a pagoda and a Jewish synagogue. In the future, characteristic elements of religious buildings of 16 world religions and disappeared civilizations will appear here.

The Temple of All Religions is an active cultural center. Music and poetry evenings are held in the concert hall of the temple. The temple has an art gallery, which hosts various exhibitions and master classes.
