Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionL.M. Gandurina is located at the address: Pushkin Street, house 9. It is a two-story house built of bricks, which once belonged to the manufacturer L.M. Gandurin. The house is located in the historical part of Ivanovo, right on the red line of the street. Its construction took place in 1908, and the architect Zarutsky was the author of the project. The walls of the house are made of unplastered embossed bricks. The plinth is made of white stone and then tiled with marble. The Gandurin mansion is one of the largest merchant houses in the entire city, built in the neoclassical style, which has preserved the interior decoration of a number of rooms to this day. The mansion is built on two floors and is equipped with a basement. In plan, it is a rectangle and is equipped with a small cut from the western corner. The house is characterized by wide ledges running along the edges of the courtyard facade, as well as a triangular bay window on the southeast and side facades with a prominent protruding vestibule entrance. Street facades have flanks, which are marked by several protruding projections of various shapes, equipped on the sides with shoulder blades, pediments and a final stepped attic. In all decorative design and divisions of facades there is an orientation towards the style of classicism. Above the plinth, there are belts in the space between floors at the lower level of window openings. The windows are rectangular and slightly elongated vertically, and above them are paneled niches. On the second floor, namely in the projection of the facade and on the sides of the window bay window, there are arched niches with stones, which are often formed by edicules and refer to three parts. The upper window openings of the bay window have an arched shape. The balcony is arranged directly above the vestibule and is fenced with a lattice and a flowerpot. You can get to the balcony by going through an arched doorway, which is decorated with archivolt and columns. According to the project, the layouts of the first and second floors are practically the same. The main entrance leads from the vestibule to a large lobby that turns into an L-shaped corridor. On both sides of the corridor and the vestibule there are spacious rooms, and one of them is located on the second floor, along the perimeter of the street facade - it was this that served as the ceremonial hall. The main two-flight staircase is located in the back of the lobby, and the second, black one, is at the very end of the corridor and leads out into the courtyard, serving the new building. The lobbies in the house have been beautifully decorated with two pairs of columns. The upper vestibule is covered with a corrugated vault, while two columns are exposed in the stairs, and the other four - on the line of the bay window, which is in front of the entrance to the balcony. A patterned stucco cornice runs along the upper perimeter of the walls, which depicts subject compositions and floral ornaments - this is also used on the ceiling space. The decoration of the staircase is made as a fine cast bronze railing, on which a drawing in the form of garlands is applied. The most impressive is the decoration of the ceremonial hall, which is divided by two pairs of Corinthian-style columns into several halves with mirrored arches. The walls were crowned with a wide frieze with stucco molding and a cornice made of ionics and crackers. The stucco decoration is distinguished by large stripes of ornament decorated with paired griffins and battle scenes from ancient mythology; in the western half, the edges of the decoration are decorated with exquisite stucco in the Baroque style. Some time later, in 1937, according to the project of the eminent architect A.A. Brechalov, the third floor was built, while the entire building increased by six axes of window openings along the perimeter of the intra-quarter passage. The mansion is L-shaped. The completion with the lattice located in the area between the pedestals along the edge of the hip roof of the originally built volume was to be preserved. In mid-1918, the district committee was reorganized into a provincial one, for which LM's house was chosen. Gandurin. After a while a communist club appeared here. In the period between 1918 and 1922, Clara Zetkin, Antonio Gramsci, A.V. Lunacharsky, M.I. Kalinin, E.M. Yaroslavsky. In 2006, the city administration moved to the building.
