This cozy medieval village with narrow streets, stone arches and friendly locals is very attractive for tourists. Krasic is also known as a place of pilgrimage for Catholics, because it was in this village that Aloisy Stepinac was born.

Stepinac became the archbishop of Zagreb during World War II. After the war in 1945, he was illegally accused by the communists of helping the fascists and placed under house arrest in Krasic. The last years of his life he spent here, in complete solitude, looked after by two nuns. The villagers presented Stepinats with a domestic sheep as food as a sign of help and compassion, but the archbishop did not slaughter the animal.

The rooms in which the archbishop spent the rest of his life were in the parish priest's house not far from the village church. The Memorial Museum is currently open there.

It is known that the archbishop lived more than modestly. He slept on a bed without a mattress and wore only church clothes, and there is also a writing desk in his room, where he read and worked. A Greek Catholic church has been preserved in Krasic, above the entrance to which the image of the Mother of God with the baby and angels is installed. The central entrance is finished with light marble and is located in a recess under an arch decorated with stone ornaments.
