This is the first building in Australia to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next to it is the Melbourne Museum, and the building itself is part of the collection of the Museum of Victoria. The Royal Exhibition Center was built specifically for the Melbourne International Exhibition in 1880.
