Part of the Victoria Museum, the Melbourne Museum is located in Carlton Gardens, near the Royal Exhibition Center. It is the largest museum in the southern hemisphere with 7 main galleries, the Children's Gallery (for children aged 3 to 8) and an exhibition hall for temporary exhibitions. The Banjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Center presents the history of Victoria's indigenous peoples.
