The tower of the castle gates of the Nesvizh castle was built in the 16th century at the same time as the castle and made a single whole with the wall and the gate. The castle was considered for its time one of the most impregnable and perfect fortifications in terms of fortifications and had its own artillery.

Unfortunately, neither a mighty wall nor formidable fortifications have survived to this day, and the castle tower rises alone not far from Farny Cathedral and puzzles tourists. Initially, there were two such towers, and they stood on both sides of the gate (gate), guarding and protecting the entrance to the castle. The gate was destroyed in the 18th century, and the tower remained standing.

This ancient defensive structure was built according to all the canons of fortification of the 16th century under the leadership of the architect Jan Maria Bernardoni with funds allocated by the owner of the Nesvizh castle, Prince Nikolai Christopher Radziwill the Orphan.

Despite its military severity, the three-tiered red brick turret, which, in tone, matches the tiled roof, finished with snow-white elements, is not devoid of the grace inherent in the Baroque style. The tower is square in plan, each tier is decorated with slotted windows of different shapes: arches, ovals, circles, which revives the austere forms of a red brick turret.
