One of the unique historical sights of Norway is the steamboat "Skibladner", built in 1854. It got its name in honor of the ship, which, according to myths, belonged to the god Frey.

"Skibladner" is the world's oldest passenger paddle steamer, which, despite its age, is still in operation. During the summer, he rides tourists on Lake Mjosa. On August 2, 1856 "Skibladner" was first launched. In 1888. the ship was reconstructed: the hull was lengthened and a new steam engine was installed. Throughout its history, the vessel sank twice, but each time after it was raised to the surface, it was subject to thorough reconstruction.

July 14, 2005. (for the first time in Norway) the steamer was given the status of a moving historical monument.
