Photo and description

The Norwegian Postal Museum was established in 1947 in Oslo, but in 2003 it moved to Lillehammer, Mayhaugen. The Postal Museum reflects more than 360 years of the history of the Norwegian postal service through paintings, photographs, texts. There are even exhibits dedicated to modern means of communication - e-mail and short text messages.

In 1854, the first railway line in Norway was opened, which was intended for the delivery of correspondence. In special cars during the movement of the train, mail was sorted and letters stamped.

At the exhibition, visitors can see all the Norwegian postage stamps that have existed since 1855, as well as explore ways to develop effective communication for the public postal service of Norway,
