The Rupe Museum is housed in a unique building - the Rupe Granary, built at the end of the 16th century. in the old part of Dubrovnik. There are 15 large dry wells carved into the solid rock and covered with special waterproof plaster. They used to store grain in them. The total capacity of the old "elevator" about 1,200 tons. Today, the collection of the ethnographic museum is exhibited here - traditional folk costumes and household items. The ground floor houses a permanent exhibition of Croatian folk art.
