Photo and description

To the east of Foros there is one of the most ancient passes of the Main ridge of the Crimean Mountains - the Devil's Staircase. Here was the only way from the coast to the depths of the Crimean Peninsula. From a distance, the pass really looks like a giant staircase with huge steps along which the path winds. By the stairs 40 sharp turns, enclosed in a stone gorge. In 1820, Alexander Pushkin made the ascent up the Devil's stairs on the way from Gurzuf to Bakhchisarai.

The way up, although steep, but without any surprises, dangers and dizzying ascents. Mountain bike owners have chosen the Devil's Ladder in recent years.
