Zoological park " Attica " - a private zoo located on the outskirts of Athens and occupying an area of 20 hectares. It was opened in May 2000. At first it was created as a Bird Park. At that time, the collection of birds living in the park was considered the third largest in the world and consisted of more than 1000 individuals of 300 different species.

In April 2001, a new section `` The World of Reptiles '' was opened, where you could already see crocodiles, pythons, boas and other reptiles. And in July 2002, the section `` Greek Fauna '' appeared with brown bears, foxes, wild cats, lynxes, wolves, etc. In February 2003, the African Savannah was added with giraffes, zebras, antelopes. Also appeared jaguars, llamas, snow leopards, white lions and other mammals. At the end of June 2003, monkeys appeared at the zoo. Since then, many more interesting and rare animals have been added to the zoo. In 2010, a dolphinarium was opened at the zoo, where you can not only admire dolphins and sea lions, but also watch shows with their participation.
