Photo and description

The Autonomous Community of Aragon, located in the north of Spain, attracts tourists with picturesque mountains, cozy towns and villages, each of which is interesting and beautiful in its own way. Echo is one such wonderful village with a rich history in the province of Huesca. The town welcomes visitors with neat facades of its buildings, welcoming windows and massive doors of old houses. This is a very small city, the area of which is 234 sq. km, and the population as of 2009 was 954 inhabitants.

Echo is an iconic city for Aragon, because it is in this area that the history of the Kingdom of Aragon originates. In Echo was born the Christian king Alfonso I, nicknamed "the warrior king." During the war with Napoleon's army, the town suffered a fire and was significantly damaged.

The main activity of local residents for a long time was agriculture and cattle breeding. In recent years, the tourism industry has been developing here more and more. Echo attracts tourists with its amazingly beautiful nature - the town is surrounded by the rocky Pyrenees mountains, green valleys and meadows covered with lush grass. The local cuisine deserves special attention - here you can taste delicious game dishes, as well as interesting traditional sweets and drinks.

The main attractions of the town are the Romanesque Church of San Pedro and the Ethnographic Museum, which displays collections that reveal the history and culture of the area.
