Radstadt is an Austrian city in the St. Johann district in the province of Salzburg. The city is located on the banks of the river, at the foot of the mountains. Radstadt is also called “the old town in the mountains.”

The area around Radstadt was already in the 4th century BC. was inhabited by the Celts. Later there was a Roman settlement here. The place called Radstadt was mentioned in 1074, and he received the rights of the city in 1289, when & nbsp; the Pongau region became part of the Archbishopric of Salzburg. The Gothic temple in the city was consecrated in 1417, and the town hall appeared in the 16th century.
