Flotsky Boulevard - former Morskoy - was founded on the site of an old dump by Admiral A.S. Greig. The boulevard stretches over the Military Harbor along the bank of the Ingul River, from the Admiral's House (the house of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet) to the Admiralty Wall.

The boulevard was opened in 1826, the name "Morskoy" is associated with the view that opened from it - the Admiralty, the Naval Harbor and a number of other naval facilities. Also from the boulevard you can admire the Bug estuary leading to the Black Sea. After the war for the anniversary of Admiral S.O. Makarov from Morskoy Boulevard was renamed Makarov Boulevard, and later - in Flotsky, as a historical reminder of the strong connection of the city with the Black Sea Fleet.

In the post-war period, the boulevard was improved and expanded. The railway track laid along the boulevard at the beginning of the century was removed, and the fence was removed. In the year 74 of the 19th century, concerts of the naval wind orchestra conducted by the outstanding Russian composer N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Five years later, another famous composer M.P. Mussorgsky.

Flotsky Boulevard is a kind of historical museum of the city of shipbuilders. Two steles installed on the boulevard tell about the development of shipbuilding in the south of our country and the Heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labor - residents of Nikolaev.
