The Museum of Railway Engineering on the Moscow Railway was reopened in August 2011. The museum exposition is located at the Paveletsky railway station. It is located in the pavilion of the Lenin Funeral Train Museum, which has long been defunct. In the center of the exhibition hall there is a steam locomotive with a carriage, which in January 1924 brought the body of the leader from Gorki to Moscow. This is a tribute to the memory and a sign of respect for history.

The exposition of the museum covers an area of about 1500 sq. M. The exposition is arranged in chronological order. It reflects the role of the Moscow Railway in the history of the development of Russian railways and all stages of the development of railway transport.
