Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionIn the city of Rostov, on Podozerka street, building 31, there is the famous art gallery "Khors", where you can see and purchase unique panels painted on enamel and which have become an excellent decoration within the framework of modern interior. All available works meet high requirements and extraordinary tastes. For almost fifteen years, "Horse" has been rapidly promoting its art in the direction of artistic enamel, namely: it holds not only group, but personal exhibitions of popular and popular foreign and Russian artists, organizes symposia and master classes, brings to life projects in a variety of countries of the world. The gallery was opened in 1995 by the talented Moscow artist Mikhail Selishchev. Today the gallery has its own exhibition hall, a bathhouse, a beautiful garden and a guest room located next to the walls of the Rostov Kremlin. The purpose of creating the gallery was the desire to acquaint visitors with the genre of absolutely free creativity, as well as to penetrate into the so-called "artistic brotherhood". The permanently open exposition is an exhibition of works of art by Selishchev and a collection of genuine Russian items dating back to the 19th century. Here, visitors get acquainted with various art exhibitions that allow them to "touch" the history of Rostov in the 19th century and plunge into the process of creative work. True connoisseurs of art have the opportunity to purchase their favorite paintings of contemporary art. Not only in the gallery itself, but throughout its entire territory there is a cozy, even homely atmosphere, which attracts numerous spectators from all over the world. Gallery "Khors" is located on the second floor of an old merchant's house, built of wood, the appearance of which corresponds to the buildings of the city of Rostov at the end of the 19th century. The house described belongs to the few houses located on the waterfront, which was able to withstand the misfortunes of the 20th century, and, most importantly, the hurricane that erupted in mid-1953. In addition, the old house was able to “stand up for itself” when the entire historical center was being massively built up with brick buildings in Rostov. Over the years, the house had fallen into desolation, but even in this state, it looked great compared to other similar houses. Throughout the history of the existence of the house, he did not have a single owner, due to the fact that only tenants lived here. According to the surviving data, eight families once lived in the house. In the early years of the 1990s, the wooden house was classified as an emergency, after which it was decided to simply demolish it. But soon, in 1992, about half of the house was rented, after which it was overhauled. A couple of years later, a small exhibition hall was opened on the second floor of the house. Numerous residents of Rostov began to call it a museum. The house gradually began to collect antiques that the Rostovites could not keep at home due to lack of space. It was from this moment that the formation of the first collections of the museum began. As time went on, things got bigger, after which it was decided to allocate a specially designed room for this purpose, and the name was given to it - a light. The collection is based on weaving items: a loom, various spinning wheels, a loom and many other items and things that are associated with the production of clothing at home. The process of creating real clothes can be traced, starting with the processing of flax. The museum has a collection of samovars, chests, glass items and ceramics. Of great interest are the unique photographs of Rostov burghers, taken at the end of the 19th century. Most objects can be touched with your hands to feel the flow of history in them.
