Photo and description

The Tyrolean village of Bad Haring, located on a high plateau between the cities of Wergl and Kufstein and a hundred years ago, was a center for coal mining, is now considered a popular resort. All this is reflected in the city's coat of arms: four golden crossed hammers symbolize coal mining, and two blue circles remind of the resort.

In 1951, a sulfur-containing healing spring was discovered on the territory of the village, which served Haring a good service. 14 years after the opening of the spring, the authorities allowed the town to add the prefix "Bad" to its name, which means a health resort. Local spring water is used in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatism, blood vessels. The local treatment center has two indoor and one outdoor swimming pools, which receive water with a high content of hydrogen sulfide. In addition, the complex has a medical center, massage rooms and a cryochamber.

You will not be bored in Bad Haring. A 10-minute walk from the city center is a botanical garden with many unique plant species, such as the insectivorous sundew. In the vicinity of this settlement there is a reserve where deer live. In winter, a free shuttle bus runs from the resort to the neighboring ski lodge, which offers 280 km of slopes. Bad Haring itself has an ice rink and 25 km of cross-country trails. There are numerous hiking trails around the city.

The main architectural attraction of Bad Hering is the parish church of St. John, which was first mentioned in the annals of 1397. In the first half of the 18th century, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style.
