Photo and description

The Cheburashka Museum is located in the Moscow kindergarten № 2550 on Dmitrievsky Street, in Vykhino. The museum was created by the head of the kindergarten together with the writer Eduard Uspensky, Cheburashka's "literary dad". Together they came up with the organization and exposition of the museum - Cheburashka's “apartment”.

Eduard Uspensky was 28 years old when he came up with Cheburashka. He was already a well-known humorist writer. As the writer himself said, he always dreamed of inventing children's fairy tales. The book with the history of Cheburashka was printed with great difficulty. It was considered harmful to children. They said that they were not looking for friends by ad, that they were looking for friends at work, etc. Even Uspensky's teacher Boris Zakhoder assessed the tale as mediocre. Everyone believed that this tale would not be popular. But it so happened that now Cheburashka, according to the writer, "more popular than myself."

Uspensky has long dreamed of creating a Cheburashka museum in Moscow. He offered this idea to various publishers many times, but they all refused. And now, Cheburashka and his friends "settled" in the kindergarten, as in a fairy tale itself.

The museum exposition created for the kindergarten consists of two parts. In the first - "street" part of the exposition, there is a telephone booth - Cheburashka's apartment. Next to the booth are the heroes of the fairy tale - Cheburashka with his friend Crocodile Gena. The second part of the museum exposition consists of a room in which there are many things dedicated to the beloved hero. Here are children's handicrafts based on the cartoon, and a typewriter by Eduard Uspensky, on which the fairy tale was printed, and many "soft" toys, Cheburashkas, Cheburashkas fashioned and drawn.

The most difficult thing was to get a payphone booth, as they are no longer produced. There are several payphones at Mosfilm, but they could only be rented. This option did not work, and the organizers turned to MGTS for help. They made a payphone from two old ones for the museum.

During the excursion you can learn a lot about the history of the creation of your favorite hero, the origin of his name, etc.

The kindergarten, which houses the Cheburashka Museum , all decorated based on the works of Eduard Uspensky. On the walls there are many famous, recognizable heroes: the old woman Shapoklyak, the crocodile Gena, the rat Lariska and many others. At the Cheburashka Museum (in the building of school No. 2031) there is a literary living room. It hosts meetings with children's poets and writers.
