Museum of the history of the champagne factory description and photos - Crimea: New World. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionNew World Champagne Factory founded in 1878 by Prince L. S. Golitsyn - the founder of Russian industrial winemaking. Although sparkling wines like champagne were produced in Crimea long before Golitsyn, this was just an imitation of French wines. But he not only achieved quality (and stable), but also received international recognition at the highest level. A light building in the style of a medieval castle, crowned with four towers, was built by L. S. Golitsyn for the winery employees. He and his family lived in a separate house (the house has been preserved), and one of the buildings (next to the `` castle '') was occupied by his museum, where various values and rarities associated with winemaking were kept. Unfortunately, almost nothing has survived from Golitsyn's unique collection. But the current Museum of the History of the Champagne Factory gives an idea of the extraordinary personality of the prince and the main business of his life - the production of champagne. Here you can get acquainted with the history of the village and the winery, and, of course, take part in a delicious champagne tasting. A new 100-seat tasting room has been opened in the basement of Golitsyn's house. During the reconstruction, the fireplace was restored, the crackling fire and the light of lighted candles create a special atmosphere of warmth and comfort.
