The Cathedral of St. George in Addis Ababa is a temple belonging to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. The cathedral was built in 1896 by captive Italians. In 1937, the temple was burned down, but after four years it was rebuilt. A museum is open at the temple, where you can see the imperial throne of the Ethiopian rulers, as well as local weapons - sabers, tridents and unique helmets decorated with lion's manes.
