The Dentistry Museum is located in the exhibition hall of the Old Town Hall in Linz. It is dedicated to the history of dentistry and dental technology. In 1999, the first dental exhibition in Upper Austria was opened. Its exhibits became the basis of the collection of the future Museum of Dentistry, which was founded in 2000. For two years he occupied several premises of the central hospital. In 2002, a public organization opened an exhibition on the history of dentistry at the City Museum North in Linz. After that, the Museum of Dentistry moved to the Old Town Hall.

The Museum is supported by members of the Association of Dentists who trade and manufacture dental equipment and develop new technologies.

The Museum of Dentistry shows to the general public the ancient devices that have ever been used in dental practice. The oldest copy of the museum dates back to 1720. This is a hairdressing chair suitable for tooth extraction.

In 660 BC. e. the first fillings were created, and the first dentures appeared in 1200. The Linz Dentistry Museum tells about the history of dentistry from 1700 to the present day. Here you can see old X-ray machines, dental chairs, doctor's instruments, dentures and crowns, the materials from which they were made, and much more. Among the numerous exhibits there is also a statue of Saint Apollonia, the patroness of dentists.
