The cozy resort of Bad Erlach was created by combining three villages - Erlach, Brunn bei Pitten and Linsberg. The prefix "Bad" in the name of the city means that before us is a balneological resort. The local thermal spring was accidentally discovered not so long ago - in 2004. The spring water is rich in sulfur and helps with diseases of the skin and musculoskeletal system. Athletes with injuries undergo rehabilitation here. In 2008, water from the spring was directed to the pools of the new Linsberg Asia thermal complex.

Erlach was first mentioned in the church documents of Ebenfurt in 987 in connection with the construction of the chapel of St. Ulrich. Until now, the church, consecrated in honor of this saint, is one of the main local attractions. It dates back to the 13th century. In 1994, archaeological excavations were carried out near the church. Scientists have discovered the remains of Roman walls and burials from that era.

Another Bad Erlach church was consecrated in honor of St. Anthony. It is a simple rectangular building with a peaked roof, decorated with a round tower. It was built in 1933 on the main street of the city. A copy of the Erlach Madonna is kept in the southern chapel of the temple. The original was written in 1320-1330 and is kept in the Cathedral Museum of Vienna.

In the former village of Linsberg, now one of the districts of Bad Erlach, Linsberg Castle is located, the first written mention of which occurs in 1150. The castle acquired its current baroque appearance after 1718. Today the estate is owned by the Schenker family, who bought it in 1863.

From the technical monuments in the Bad Erlach resort, an old brick kiln and a mill have survived, where a history museum is now open.
