The Chinese Garden is one of the most famous and scenic attractions in Singapore. The garden's landscape was designed by a famous Taiwanese architect in 1975, based on the imperial style of North China. The Chinese Garden in Singapore is mainly a miniature version of the Summer Palace Gallery in Beijing.

White marble lions stand guard at the main gate, as in China the lion is a symbol of loyalty and power. Not far from the entrance is the White Rainbow Bridge, which was inspired by the bridge from the Beijing palace.

The main building of the Chinese Garden is a 7-storey pagoda located on a low hill. In China, pagodas were built as watchtowers and as a sign of "good omens".

The main characteristic feature of this picturesque park is the combination of architectural monuments with the splendor of the flora. Along the paths there are cozy gazebos decorated with climbing plants. The Garden of Abundance is striking in its beauty, where among the sculptures symbolizing the signs of the zodiac, century-old pomegranate trees grow.

Also, tourists can visit the amazing garden of bonsai, opened in 1992. There are about 2,000 bonsai here, imported mainly from China. The garden covers an area of more than 5800 square meters, therefore it is the largest outside of China. Bonsai master classes are held for visitors to the garden.
