Photo and description

The Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana in Vladivostok is one of the most iconic sights of the city. A small but very cozy chapel-church is located in the park between Sibirtseva and Pushkinskaya streets, not far from the funicular station, near the central entrance to the former building `` A '' Far Eastern State Technical University (FESTU).

The chapel-temple of St. Tatiana was erected in 2000. A group of architects and students who studied at the Architectural Institute of FESTU were involved in the construction of the temple. Professor V. Mora supervised the construction work. The Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana was included in the complex, which includes a chapel, a belfry and a monument to the students who died during the Great Patriotic War.

In 2002 from the Pskov-Pechora monastery, a particle of the relics of the holy Martyr Tatiana (Tatyana) was brought to the temple, which they decided to place in the icon case.

According to the initial project, the chapel was designed without an altar part, as a result of which communion and weddings were not performed in the chapel-chapel, but only baptisms, prayers and requiems were held. This situation could only be corrected by the construction of an altar. In 2003, the addition of the altar began, which lasted less than a year. The new annex very harmoniously blended into the architectural project of V. Mora. In 2004, just on Tatiana's day, the first liturgy was held in the chapel-church.

The main visitors to the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana are students and teachers.
