Photo and descriptionThe Church of the Holy Trinity is the family burial vault of the Stieglitz family, and later the Polovtsovs. Its creation is associated with the death of the baron's wife - Karolina Karlovna Stieglitz, nee Miller. The church was built over her grave with the permission of Metropolitan Isidore. On October 30, A.L. Stieglitz himself was buried. In the 1920s, the heirs of the Polovtsovs leased this church to the parish. Holy Trinity Church was built at the expense of A. L. Stieglitz and was his property. It was founded on June 22, 1873 and consecrated on August 17, 1875 by Metropolitan Isidore in honor of the Holy Trinity. The author of the temple project is the architect A.I. Krakau. The church was built in the style of historicism, interpreting the forms of traditional Russian architecture of the 17th century. It is built of bricks, has the shape of a cross, with five heads. A lancet, cone-shaped bell tower with ten bells was built above the western entrance to the temple. The interior decoration was distinguished by sophistication and wealth. Four columns with stucco capitals supported the vault and divided the interior of the temple. During the war, the temple was partially destroyed. Since that time, the gradual destruction of the monument begins. During the construction of the Narva hydroelectric power station in 1951-1955. the church ended up in the construction zone and was used as a warehouse for building materials. Now the temple has been reconstructed, services are being held.
