M.Yu. Lermontov's description and photo - Russia - South: Taman. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionM.Yu. Lermontov, located on the shores of the Taman Bay in the center of the village of Taman, is one of the city's attractions. The grand opening of the museum took place on October 24, 1976 Museum of the great Russian poet M.Yu. Lermontov is located in the courtyard restored by historians and residents of the village, where the writer once stayed. Unfortunately, the real house has not survived. Some believe that the bank where the hut stood was gradually washed away by water, as a result of which it simply slid into the sea, and some say that the house was destroyed during the hostilities. Local residents with great accuracy were able to restore the hut on the steep bank. The decoration of the house is not rich, as described in the story "Taman". But despite this, everything stands in its place here: white uneven walls, a low ceiling, a stove in the middle of the room, along the walls there are old chests and benches, various household items, and there are wicker mats on the floor. Small windows can be seen just a meter from the floor. Near the house there is a well, a huge tarred scow and household equipment. The house, the exhibits, the steep coast, which slopes sharply down to the sea ... all this looks very harmonious. The museum's literary exposition is small, but the exhibits presented here are unique - these are drawings and autographs of the writer, manuscripts of the story by M.Yu. Lermontov's "Taman", paintings and old books. Near the museum, in a shady park, there is a monument. M.Yu. Lermontov, opened in 1984 in honor of the 170th anniversary of the poet's birth. Today the Taman house-museum of M. Yu. Lermontova is very popular with admirers of the great writer. People from all over the country come here to see the place where the history of the famous novel "A Hero of Our Time" began.
