Photo and description

Lycian tombs are the main attraction of the resort. The tombs date back to the 4th century BC. This is a very special kind of gravestone art - massive stone sculptures of the original form.

The most famous is the tomb of Amyntas, which is a platform with a portico carved into the rock and two Ionic columns. You can climb to it by steps. On the wall of the tomb there is an inscription in Greek `` Amyntas son of Hermagios ''.

Another tomb has a rather unusual design. Rectangular in plan, with wooden supports, it has a Gothic-style lid and arches on both sides. The lid is adorned with war reliefs believed to tell the story of the life of a person buried in this tomb.
