The Bergen Art Museum, spread over three buildings, is one of Norway's most impressive and growing collections. The museum is dedicated to Norwegian and foreign fine arts of the 13th-20th centuries. The collection is known for its collection of Greek and Russian icons, the oldest of which date back to the 13th century, as well as paintings by Dutch artists of the 17th century.
The renowned collection of Rasmus Meyer features masterpieces by Edward Munch, as well as the best works of Norwegian romantics, including works Harriet Baker and Nikolai Astrup, capturing the breathtaking landscapes of western Norway in their works.
