Photo and descriptionThe botanical garden is located in the very center of the city of Almaty and occupies a huge area of 103 hectares, which won the title of the largest park in the city. The history of the garden began in 1932 by the signing of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR a decree on the creation of a Kazakhstani base within the botanical sector From that moment on, a vigorous work and scientific activity began in the selected territory. Botanists and plant breeders study the problems of plant acclimatization, identify economically valuable species, which further helps to green up not only the city, but the whole country.
