Photo and description

In the suburb of Bakhchisarai, in the old days called Aziz, there are several unique architectural monuments of the Middle Ages - the mausoleums of the Crimean khans. One of the most interesting buildings is Eski-Dyurbe ("old mausoleum"), built much earlier than the Khan's palace - in the 15th century.

In shape, the mausoleum is a cube, covered with a spherical dome, with an open courtyard with a fountain adjoining from the south, where one could sit alone, mentally talking with the deceased. The building is monumental, well proportioned; masterfully executed stone works.
