Photo and description

Kjoragbolton, or “Pea Stone” in Norwegian, is a huge stone stuck between two rocks at an altitude of 984m.

Anyone can look at this cobblestone hanging in a mountain gorge since ancient times. This does not require any special training and equipment. The overwhelming number of tourists traveling around Lysefjord aims not only to see the famous inaccessible Norwegian mountains, but also to get to this “miracle of nature”. Such an ascent will take 2.5 - 3 hours of walking on difficult terrain in one direction and the same amount - back.

At an altitude of 500m above Lysefjord, there is the Eagle's Nest, a small cafe with an observation deck overlooking the road with its 27 sharp turns, leading down to the town of Lysebotn. However, it is open only in summer.

Paid parking for tourists is also located here, there is an information stand with routes and other conditions.
