Nifontova, V. Tikhonov, V. Sanaev, G. Yumatov, I. Smoktunovsky, K. Luchko, V. Serova, N. Mordyukova and many others. The artistic council of the theater consisted of the largest Soviet directors. It included M. Romm and S. Gerasimov, Y. Raizman and I. Pyriev, G. Alexandrov and others.

Since 1992, the theater has been called the "State Theater of Cinema Actor". Since 2010, the chief director of the theater is Robert Manukyan. The theater is heading towards updating the repertoire and preserving the best traditions of the theater.
