Living rooms and premises were located on the upper floors of the house, and trade and office work were carried out below. The attic was reserved for servants.

At the beginning of the 19th century. Bakery shops were opened on the territory of Kholm's house. In 1919. the building was bought as a museum.

Currently, exhibitions with a constantly changing exposition are regularly held on the ground floor. The property of the museum also includes two other residential buildings and several outbuildings such as a pigsty, a carriage house, barns, etc.
