Olympos National Park is located just 25 kilometers from Antalya. Its narrow and long plain stretches for several kilometers, from Cape Reis to Cape Akyar. It is here that the Beldibi cave is located, attracting tourists with its beautiful waterfall and rock paintings.

Not far from the cave is the source of the Beldibi River, which gave the name to the nearest village. The river is not large enough, its length is about four kilometers.

Today the cave is quite popular with tourists. The cave is located at the foot of the sandy mountains stretching into the sea. The cave is of real historical value – according to historians, the cave was used during the Paleolithic period.

The cave was first discovered by E. Bostanci in 1956, however, excavations began here only three years later.

Several cultural layers belonging to different eras were found in the cave. The walls of the cave depict various animals, humans, shaman and hunting scenes, which were then made from natural iron and manganese oxide. Also here were found small tools carved from bone and stone, fragments of jugs and plates, etc. Most of the finds found in the cave today can be seen in the Antalya Museum.
