Damlatash Cave is one of the most unique places in Alanya. The humidity of the cave is 90%, and the temperature does not drop below +23 0 C. In addition, a high carbon content with a low degree of radioactivity was observed here.

According to experts, such conditions have a beneficial effect on the treatment of respiratory organs, especially asthma.  

The cave was discovered in blasting in 1948, and later became one of the main natural attractions of Alanya. Also, inside the cave, unique formations of multi-colored stalagmites and stalactites dating back several thousand years were found. Today Damlatas is one of the few caves in Turkey specially equipped for tourists.

The phosphoric cave is also of considerable interest to tourists. There are two versions about the origin of the name of the cave. According to some sources, the cave got its name in connection with the large amount of phosphorus contained in the rocks that make up the vaults of the cave.

According to another version, the name of the cave comes from the water inside the cave, which is under the movement of oars, vibrations of the boat produces an extraordinary play of shadows and light, reminiscent of a phosphorescent glitter.

The Lovers' Cave is also a natural pearl of Alanya. The cave is about 70 meters long.

The cave got its romantic name thanks to a local legend, according to which couples in love secretly met here.
