Geography and   Climate


Mahdia   - the southernmost resort of Tunisia, located on the   mainland (to the south only the island of Djerba). The city is located   45   km from the   resort of Monastir on the rocky coast of a small African cape.

Climate in Mahdia is tropical, very warm and   mild. There are no sharp temperature fluctuations and   strong winds in   during spring and   summer. The hottest months, like   in   throughout Tunisia, July and   August. There is less precipitation in   Mahdia than in the   north of the country. The wettest month   is October. The driest period is from   June to   August.

Mahdia is one of the   most important fishing ports in the country.

The city is located   45   minutes from the   airport in   Monastir. The flight from   Moscow takes about 4 hours.
