In 1930, Kemal Ataturk was going to stay in the city, and therefore the residents of the city presented him with a beautiful two-story mansion. Upon the arrival of the founder of the Turkish Republic, the entire space in front of his mansion was filled with people. After a little rest, Ataturk went out onto the balcony, made a speech and thanked the local residents. Here he spent only a week, but for all the time he managed to visit the historical monuments and museums of the city.
In 1931, the leader again visited Antalya, but did not stop there and immediately poisoned himself in Silifke. The last time Kemal came to the city was in 1935, where he stayed in his mansion for only a day.
