Ataturk Bulvari description and photos - Turkey: Kemer. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The title in English is Ataturk Bulvari. Photo and descriptionThe main street of Kemer is Ataturk Boulevard, known for its monument to the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal. He is depicted here releasing a white dove of peace into the sky. There are dancing fountains in front of the monument, surrounded on all sides by a marble floor. Not far from the monument there is a snow-white clock tower - the symbol of Kemer. Ataturk Boulevard starts at the entrance to Kemer and consists of three sections. The first section, from the ring to the fork on Primorskaya Street, runs along the Kemer Resort beach (200 meters from the sea) and is built up with new five-star hotels on the left side. The second part is the road to the city center to the bus station. The third section of the boulevard is a shopping street with many shops, souvenir shops, small cafes and restaurants. The boulevard crosses a small river. Usually there is almost no water in it, but after heavy rains or melting snow in the mountains, the river becomes quite turbulent. On Mondays, one of the most famous markets in Kemer works on the boulevard. Locals sell juicy fruits, ripe vegetables and aromatic spices here. All this costs 2-3 times cheaper here than on stalls in the city. Textiles, knitwear and leather goods are also on sale, which you should definitely buy. Ataturk Boulevard is also the central city bus station, from where intercity buses go to nearby towns and Antalya.
