Kocatepe Mosque in Turkey, Ankara resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (620 votes)  This mosque is the largest mosque in the entire city. Its construction lasted 19 years, and was completed only by 1987. The height of the mosque – about 49 meters, its area – 4288 meters. The dome diameter is 25 meters. There are four minarets in total in the mosque, the height of each is – 88 meters. Both the dome and the minarets are decorated with golden crescents. The inside of the mosque is decorated with gold plates and stained glass windows, decorative tiles, crystal chandeliers and marble. In the center of the room there is a model Mescid-I Nebevi – mosques from Medina. This model was donated by the King of Saudi Arabia in 1993.
