Until the 20th century, a huge number of Greeks lived here, so Greek monasteries, churches and mansions are still preserved here. The city has an interesting temple of Saints Constantine and Helena. It is carved into the rock and is supported by four columns. You can get into it by stone steps. A little lower is the Church of the Holy Cross, which was built in the rock of stone blocks. The frescoes inside depict the second coming of Christ. We also recommend reading Ortahisar in Turkey, Cappadocia resort Topic: Mustafapasa in Turkey, Cappadocia resort. |
