Sigulda is a small town located in the central part of Latvia. The city is located at a distance of about 50 kilometers from Riga. You can get to Sigulda from Riga either by bus or by train.

The city of Sigulda was founded in 1207, its population (according to 2005) is 10   600 inhabitants. Surrounded by the Gauja National Park, the city is located in a beautiful area.

The moderate continental climate of Sigulda is characterized by rather mild winters: the air temperature in the coldest month, January, rarely drops below -5 ° C. And in the summer months, the average air temperature is +17 ° C - +18 ° C.
