Brno is a city in the south-east of the Czech Republic, the most famous center of excursion tourism, as well as the political, economic and cultural capital of the Moravian region. According to the latest data, the population of Brno was about 380 thousand people, a low birth rate gives a large population decline. Despite the current decline in the number of people living in Brno, it is the second largest city in the Czech Republic, its agglomeration is also one of the most densely populated.

Brno has its own international airport, which also receives flights from Moscow. They are not carried out too often, even at the height of the tourist season, but if you want to get to the city as quickly as possible and with maximum comfort, this is the ideal way. The only drawback may be the cost of the ticket, which in this direction increases with the beginning of the tourist season. The flight time from Moscow rarely exceeds two hours, regular buses run regularly from the airport to the central part of Brno, you can also take a taxi.

Prague and Brno are separated by a distance of 220 kilometers, which is quite surmountable by all ground transportation methods. The main railway station in Prague runs daily flights to Brno - this is the most acceptable way in terms of speed and safety of travel. Also, comfortable tourist buses leave the Czech capital on a regular basis, the travel time in this case will be slightly longer, but a number of stops will allow you to get acquainted with the many Czech suburbs.

An alternative way for those traveling from other European countries would be a flight from Vienna or Bratislava. Both destinations are operated by Czech Airlines, so the quality of tourist traffic is guaranteed.

Climatic zone, in which Brno is located, belongs to a typical temperate continental climate. The city is characterized by a mild change of seasons, the off-season is distinctly expressed, with little rainfall. Winters are cool enough, but without severe frosts, precipitation in the form of snow is irregular, while summers are mostly warm, with a predominance of sunny days. Summer rains can be heavy and long, but this weather quickly gives way to warm and clear skies.

The coldest month of the year is January, the air temperature these days can drop to -5 ° С, at night there may be short-term decreases in the daily norm. It's worth saying that winter in Brno is practically snowless, for the entire winter period there is no more than 70 mm of precipitation, which is very little for a temperate zone. Regular thaws begin by mid-February.

The warmest month of the year here is August, then the air temperature in the shade can warm up to + 24 ° С, in the rest of the summer period the thermometer shows no less than + 19 ° С .
