Geography and   Climate

Atami   is a balneological resort on   the island of Honshu in   Japan. Located in the   eastern part of the Izu Peninsula. The western coast of the city is washed by the waves of the Satami Bay. Its border runs along the villages of Yugawara and   Kannami, the cities of Ito and   Izunokuni. The famous Fujiyama volcano is visible from almost any point of the resort.

It is more convenient to get to the city from   Tokyo. You will cover the distance in   90   km in   50   minutes by   bus or car. The nearest railway station to the   resort is called Atami JR.

The climate in Atami is mild. The average temperature in winter is kept at   level +5 ... + 7 ° С, in summer the air warms up to   + 25   ° С.   The tourist season here begins in   end of March and   ends in   April. The second annual influx of tourists is from   October to   November.
