Dolichiste in Turkey, Kekova resort

After a devastating earthquake in the 2nd century AD. the city was partially submerged. Subsequently, the island was subjected to frequent raids by the Arabs, and in the 13th century was conquered by the Turks. At the end of the First World War, the island has long been a cause of controversy between Turkey and Greece. Turkey took possession of the island in 1932 by convention between Greece and Turkey.
