Geography and climate in Dalaman

It is the most important tourist center of the country, adjacent to such resorts as Fethiye, Marmaris and Dalyan. At a distance of 6 kilometers from the city center and 12 kilometers from the airport, there is a bus station, whose bus routes connect the eastern and western parts of the country, and also run between nearby resorts, linking Dalaman, Marmaris and Fethiye. The city borrowed its name from the river of the same name, which flows nearby. An international airport has been operating in Dalaman since 1987. The city is home to about 22 000 people.
