Rating: 7,8/10 (300 votes) This museum is located in Gultepe quarter, on Kisla street, at number 2. The museum began to be built in 1965, and the official opening took place in 1969. In the museum there are two halls for exhibitions, storage and study. All exhibits are located in both exhibition halls and partly on the street. The first room displays various works of art and household items dating back to the Bronze Age. A little further, there are exhibits that were found during excavations in Kultepe. These exhibits reflect the culture of the Assyrian trading colonies. In the second room are objects that were found at the sites of ancient settlements in the territory adjacent to Kayseri. These include items found in graves such as urns with ashes and Hercules' sarcophagus.
