Geography and   Climate


Frigate Island   is a granite island located to the east of Mahe Island at   55   kilometers. The area of this small island is only 2   square kilometers.

The climate on   Frigate is marine, subequatorial. From   June to   November, the air warms up to   + 24 ° С, and   from   December to   May   - up to   + 29 ° С. + 27 ° C.

The rainy season on the   island lasts in   hot months from   December to   May. However, tropical rains are usually short-lived, so relaxing on the   island is comfortable and   in the   rainy season. From   June to   November, it rains very rarely.

It is most comfortable on the   island in   May and   October. There is no wind and   no rain, and   the sea is completely calm.

You can get to   Frigate Island from La Digue or Mahe Island (from   Pointe Larue Airport) by   helicopter. The road will only take about 20   minutes.
