Uchisar in Turkey, Cappadocia resort

Many people live in the village near the rocks, but some dwellings are located right in the rocks themselves. It was very convenient to settle in the local rocks, since the tuff of which they are composed is a very malleable material. From these cave houses it was also very convenient to observe the enemies. The city is especially famous for the fortress carved into the rock, located at the very top of the hill. This fortress – a whole rocky settlement with spiers and towers.
