Normandy is a resort region located in the north-west of France, about 3 hours from Paris, on the coast of the English Channel. Geographically it is divided into two parts: Upper Normandy and Lower Normandy.

Upper Normandy is a French administrative region, covering an area of 12,300 square kilometers with a population of 1,800,000 people. The regional center of Upper Normandy, the country's industrial province, is the city of Rouen.

Lower Normandy with the central city of Caen has a total area of 10,800 square kilometers and a population of 1,400,000 inhabitants. It is a region specializing in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Normandy time zone: GMT + 1 (- 2 hours from Moscow).
