Art Museum in Finland, Rovaniemi Resort

It is located in the building of the former post office, restored by the local architect Juhani Pallasmaa and reconstructed specifically for a museum. Most of the exhibition is made up of works by contemporary Finnish artists, collected by private collectors of the Jenni and Antti Vihuri Foundation. In total, the collection contains more than two thousand works. There are also thematic exhibitions dedicated to the work of artists from northern Lapland. The museum also hosts events based on the close interaction of culture and science, on the activities of the University of Lapland and the local multicultural society in general. Rovaniemi Art Museum welcomes visitors with disabilities, moreover, special excursions are organized for them.
